Abstract
Self-assessment is a new phenomenon in the west where most business organizations seem to be highly interested in measuring the culture of quality. Senior managers have come to recognize that there are powerful tools such as the Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award (MBNQA) or the European Quality Award (EQA) framework, which can help them assess their strengths and weaknesses in various areas and whether they are deploying their quality efforts in the right way.
