Abstract
Following a brief review of radio continuum and recombination line studies of Orion A, new 40″ resolution maps in the 64α lines of hydrogen and helium results are presented. The velocity distribution shows that simple models of “Champagne Flow” do not agree with the data. A search for cold ionized gas toward the KL nebula has revealed no measurable differences in the LTE electron temperatures toward this region and other parts of Orion A. To within the uncertainties, there is no difference between the radial velocities of the H64α and He64α lines.
