Abstract
A hahm is a chest that contains wedding presents for the bride. The eve of a wedding in Korea is no less important than the wedding day itself—particularly for the bride and her family. It can turn out to be either a joyful, fun-filled occasion or a terrible nightmare, all depending the family’s negotiations over the price of the hahm.
