Abstract
Until recently the numerical and analytical investigations of the steady combustion of gas mixtures at supersonic speeds were carried out under the assumption of one-dimensional flow behind a normal shock wave or quasi-one-dimensional flow in a stream tube with given cross-section variations or with given variations of one flow parameter (for instance, at constant pressure).
