Abstract
A comparison is made of longitudinal observations collected during (A) 3-weeks continuous night work (2200 – 2600, 4 subjects, fig. 1) which was not interrupted by free weekends, and (B) a cycle of rotating shifts (6 subjects, fig. 2) as is practised in a steel mill situated on the Arctic Circle at Mo i Rana, Norway.
