Zusammenfassung

Die Gesundheitspsychologie bezeichnet allgemein die Wissenschaft vom Erleben und Verhalten des Menschen im Zusammenhang mit Gesundheit und Krankheit. Auch wenn man von einer universellen Definition von Gesundheit ausgeht, sind viele Konzepte von Krankheit und Gesundheit sowie der Umgang mit ihnen kulturell geprägt. Dieses Kapitel stellt Konzepte der Gesundheitspsychologie im Kontext der Kultur vor.
