Zusammenfassung

Die Behandlung von Hypospadien ist eine komplexe Aufgabe, die für unerfahrene Operateure nicht geeignet ist. Es gibt so viele Varianten dieser Fehlbildung, dass der Operateur mit vielen Lösungen des Problems in gegebener Situation vertraut sein muss. Das Beharren auf einer Methode, wie z. B. die TIP-Prozedur bei proximalen Hypospadien, steigert die Komplikationsrate und nimmt bspw. eine Verkürzung des Penis in Kauf. Das Beherrschen und Benutzen von Grundsätzen der plastischen Chirurgie ist obligat, das entsprechende Instrumentarium ein Muss. Die Anwendung der optischen Vergrößerung ist bei Operationen bei kleinen Kindern Voraussetzung. Die kontinuierliche Evaluation eigener Ergebnisse und Befragung der Eltern der Kinder und Jugendlichen sollte verpflichtend sein.
