Zusammenfassung

Die diagnostische Laparoskopie stellt den Goldstandard in der Evaluation einer peritonealen Metastasierung dar. Im Vergleich zu den radiologischen Verfahren, wie beispielsweise der Computertomographie oder der Magnetresonanztomographie sind die Sensitivität und Spezifität der Laparoskopie für die Ermittlung peritonealer Metastasen deutlich höher: Sie weist in der Detektion peritonealer Metastasen bei Magenkarzinompatienten eine Sensitivität von 74–100 % und eine Spezifität von 83–100 % auf. Limitationen dieser überlegenen Methode sind die Einschränkung der Beurteilbarkeit durch peritoneale Adhäsionen nach Voroperationen sowie die Invasivität der Methode und die Ausbildung von Trokarmetastasen.
