Zusammenfassung

Die peritoneale Tumoraussaat gastrointestinaler Tumoren stellt nach wie vor den wesentlichsten prognoselimitierenden Faktor dar. Trotz kurativer R0-Resektionen kommt es bei einem nicht unbeträchtlichen Anteil der Patienten zu einem peritonealen Rezidiv. Die additive hypertherme intraperitoneale Chemotherapie nach kurativer Resektion eines gastrointestinalen Karzinoms hat theoretisch das Potenzial, zur Verhinderung lokaler und peritonealer Rezidive bei akzeptabler Morbidität und Mortalität beizutragen.
