Zusammenfassung

Im chirurgischen Alltag stehen zahlreiche Devices zur Verfügung, die für die einzelnen Schritte der Zytoreduktion hilfreich sein können. Jedoch existieren keine Studien, die sich mit der speziellen Anwendung im Rahmen der Zytoreduktion auseinandersetzen. Die Entscheidung, welche Instrumente eingesetzt werden, obliegt dem Operateur und hängt von dessen Erfahrung und Vorlieben ab. Generell besteht bei der Anwendung der Devices die Gefahr, das umliegende Gewebe ungewollt durch die Hitze zu schädigen. Diese Schädigung hängt von der Applikationsdauer und der Effektstärke ab. In den hierzu verfügbaren Arbeiten ist die Hitzeschädigung bei bipolarem Strom, Electrothermal Bipolar Vessel Sealing (EBVS; z. B. LigaSure™) und ultraschallbasierten Instrumenten (z. B. Ultracision®) vergleichbar, bei monopolarem Strom jedoch deutlich höher.
