Zusammenfassung
Im Leistungs- und Wettkampfsport sind mentale Phänomene feststellbar, die sich erheblich auf das Handeln, die Handlungsregulation und die Leistung auswirken können. Im folgenden Beitrag werden Flow, Momentum und Hot-Hand als leistungsförderliche mentale Phänomene sowie Choking, Yips und Lost Move Syndrome als leistungsmindernde mentale Phänomene vorgestellt und hinsichtlich ihrer Charakteristiken, Erklärungsmodelle, Diagnostik und Interventionen beschrieben. Zu den Aufgaben der angewandten Sportpsychologie gehören einerseits die Prävention und Intervention im Hinblick auf leistungsmindernde Phänomene und andererseits die Ermöglichung des Auftretens leistungsförderlicher Phänomene bei Athletinnen, Athleten und in Teams.
