Zusammenfassung

Die Versorgung von Patienten in der Gefäßchirurgie stellt hohe Ansprüche an den Anästhesisten und Intensivmediziner, da durch das typische Risikoprofil gefäßchirurgischer Patienten mit arterieller Hypertonie, koronarer Herzkrankheit und Diabetes mellitus die Rate an perioperativen Komplikationen erhöht ist. Eine operative oder interventionelle Versorgung – seien sie elektiv oder akut – setzt deshalb ein differenziertes und auf das jeweilige Risikoprofil des Patienten adaptiertes anästhesiologisches und intensivmedizinisches Vorgehen voraus, um Komplikationen in der perioperativen Phase zu verhindern bzw. optimal zu beherrschen.
