Zusammenfassung
Die Prävalenz des Asthma bronchiale beträgt in den entwickelten Ländern etwa 5–15 % und ca. 3 % der Bevölkerung nehmen Asthmamedikamente ein. Anästhesiologisch relevante Informationen außer der Medikation betreffen Häufigkeit, Dauer und Schweregrad der Exazerbationen, die Häufigkeit nächtlicher Anfälle und spirometrische Verlaufsmessungen der Patienten. Weiterhin sind Auslöser der Asthmaanfälle zu eruieren. Das anästhesiologische Management ist darauf ausgerichtet, pulmonale Komplikationen zu vermeiden.
