Zusammenfassung

Trotz großer operativer und anästhesiologischer Fortschritte sind die perioperative Morbidität und Letalität in der Gefäßchirurgie häufig deutlich höher als bei anderen operativen Eingriffen. Hierzu tragen sowohl die hohe Prävalenz relevanter Begleiterkrankungen als auch Art und Ausmaß des operativen Eingriffs mit Beeinträchtigungen von Hämodynamik und Organperfusion bei. Das perioperative Management erfordert daher die Kenntnis der patientenbezogenen Risikofaktoren und ein fundiertes Verständnis der pathophysiologischen Zusammenhänge sowie des operativen Vorgehens.
