Zusammenfassung

Häufigkeit und Inzidenz: Karzinoide sind eine sehr seltene Neoplasie mit 0,5–2% alle Neoplasien. Die jährliche Neuerkrankungen beträgt 1–2 pro 100 000. Dies bedeutet, daß z. B. 1993 in den USA 2500 neue Fälle registriert wurden. Regionale Unterschiede sind nicht dokumentiert.
