Zusammenfassung

Die akute Virushepatitis ist auch gegenwärtig ein bedeutendes, weltweites Problem des öffentlichen Gesundheitsdienstes. Epidemiologische und Laboratoriumsuntersuchungen sprechen dafür, daß zwei verschiedene Viren diese Erkrankung hervorrufen können. Diese Erreger werden als

  1. 1.

    Virushepatitis Typ A (infektiöse Hepatitis [IH], Hepatitis mit kurzer Inkubationszeit [MS-1], epidemische Gelbsucht);

  2. 2.

    Virushepatitis Typ B (Serumhepatitis [SH], Hepatitis mit langer Inkubations-zeit [MS-2], homologer Serumikterus)

bezeichnet.
