Zusammenfassung

Die Chirurgie des Diabetes im Sinne des vorliegenden Kapitels umfaßt die operative Behebung der diabetischen Stoffwechsellage, nicht wie im herkömmlichen Sinne die operative Behandlung diabetischer Komplikationen. Im weiteren ist festzuhalten, daß diese Ausführungen nur für den Insulinmangeldiabetes gelten, nicht hingegen für den Diabetes Typ II.
