Zusammenfassung

Bei diskordanten Xenotransplantationen ist im Regelfall mit einer hyperakuten Abstoßungsreaktion zu rechnen. Die Initialphase dieses Vorganges ist von einer Aktivierung der Komplementkaskade gekennzeichnet. Die Überlebenszeit xeno-transplantierter parenchymatöser Organe konnte im Tierexperiment an konkordanten Spezies unter hochdosierter Immunsuppression bereits auf über 100 Tage verlängert werden [7]. Die Ergebnisse peripherer Xenotransplantationen bleiben hinter diesen Resultaten bislang zurück.
