Abstract

The fractionation efficiency of column-fractionation techniques (column extraction, Sect. 6.4; gradient elution, Sect. 7; Baker-Williams fractionation, Sect. 8) is partly influenced by the same parameters. Therefore, a joint discussion of these and some special parameters is advantageous. Besides, the same columns can be used and similar limitations hold [1].
