Zusammenfassung

Hauptsächlich biomechanische Ursachen führen zum Knochenverlust infolge Nekrose, Osteolyse und Resorption, ferner zur Kortikalisschwächung in Form der Rarefizierung und Spongio-sierung. Die herkömmlichen Therapiemöglichkeiten umfassen Spongiosaplastik und eine Vielzahl von Spezialprothesen. Häufig tritt eine Problemverlagerung in das distale Femur auf. Ein Circulus vitiosus beginnt.
