Zusammenfassung

Der Pathologe ist als Mitglied des für die Gesundheit des Patienten verantwortlichen medizinischen Teams ein Berater, dessen Aufgabe es ist, wichtige Ratschläge für die Diagnose, Therapie und Prognose der Erkrankung zu geben. Es ist wichtig zu betonen, daß er nicht in der Lage ist, diese Aufgabe in einer zufriedenstellenden Art und Weise zu lösen, wenn ihm nicht einerseits ein Minimum an klinischen Informationen und andererseits qualitativ gutes Material in adäquater Menge gegeben werden [5,10,12].
