Abstract
Various PACS activities by medical and industrial sites are introduced first. The Japanese standard ’MIPS’ is presented in comparison to ACR-NEMA standard. The authors also commented the present status of ’ ISAC’ and ’PHD’ activities. Some hospitals and manufacturers have developed and evaluated prototype PACS. On these achievements, about 100 hospitals have already introduced various sized PACS so far.
