Abstract

He is made lethargic whose brain is filled with corrupted phlegm. He breathes but seldom, in great gasps, and his complexion is livid, his pulse wavers, there is tremor of the hands and the urine is as thick as that of pack-horses. His mouth is agape, the fever slow and sleep profound: and his ill is so great that he forgets his own name and all he has learned in life: and this is the main sign that readily indicates this ailment.
