Zusammenfassung

Wenn man sich dem Thema „Dialysepatient und Familie“ zuwendet und die Literatur durchsieht, bekommt man sehr schnell den Eindruck, daß die Äußerungen von Kaplan De-Nour (1980): „Knowledge about families’ reactions is limited … It seems that the relatives have been neglected“, zutreffen. Eine Ursache hierfür mag sein, daß die Ärzte die Verwandten als ihre Assistenten betrachten und nicht so sehr deren Belastung sehen. „The relatives are often expected to make the patient comply with the medical regimen, to promote his rehabilitation and to take on home dialysis when we say so, without taking into account their reactions and needs.“ Eine andere Ursache kann in den noch weitgehend rudimentären Theorien über Familien und den nicht befriedigenden Ansätzen zur Erfassung von Systemparametern (Kruse 1983) gesehen werden. Und eine dritte Ursache scheint in der Unsicherheit zu liegen, die durch den Paradigmenwechsel von der individuumzentrierten zur systemzentrierten Sichtweise hervorgerufen wird (Dell u. Goolishian 1981).
