Abstract

The response of citrus to irrigation and salinity has been investigated in many countries growing this fruits. Most of the available information comes from the United States (California, Arizona, Texas and Florida), Israel and Australia, (Bielorai and Levi, 1971; Chapman et al., 1969; Cooper and Reynodo, 1959; Furr, 1955; Hegelman and Sharp, 1970; Mantell and Goell, 1967; Oppenheimer, 1952; Pillsbury et al., 1944; Samish, 1957; Shmueli, 1971; Stolzy et al., 1963; Till, 1969) and some from Spain, South Africa and India.
