Abstract

CS systems for the simplest noncompact non-Abelian Lie group SU(1, 1) ∼ SO(2, 1) are introduced and studied in this chapter, following [15]. Unlike the case of the simplest compact non-Abelian Lie group SU(2), there are several types of CS systems, since SU(1,1) has several series of unitary irreducible representations. Some applications of the CS systems for SU(1,1) are presented in Part III.
