Zusammenfassung

Die Tuberkulose des Nervensystems ist eine seltene entzündliche Erkrankung, die jedoch differentialdiagnostisch nicht übersehen werden darf. Aufgrund ihrer Komplikationen macht sie u.U. eine intensivmedizinische Behandlung erforderlich. Eine Beteiligung des ZNS tritt bei etwa 10% der Patienten mit Tuberkulose im Verlauf der Erkrankung auf (Wood u. Anderson 1988). Tuberkulöse Meningitiden machen in Deutschland etwa 3,3% aller extrapulmonalen Tuberkulosemanifestationen aus (0,08/100000 Einwohner, 1996).
