Zusammenfassung
Das akute fulminante Leberversagen ist eine seltene Manifestation einer Leberkrankheit und stellt eine Notfallsituation dar. Das akute fulminante Leberversagen ist bedingt durch einen Verlust des Leberparenchyms aufgrund unterschiedlichster Ursachen. Trotz der Fortschritte des therapeutischen Managements und der Möglichkeit der Lebertransplantation ist die Mortalitätsrate weiterhin hoch. Dieses Kapitel befasst sich mit der Definition, den Ursachen, dem klinischen Bild, der Differentialdiagnose und dem Management des akuten fulminanten Leberversagens.
