Abstract
The first part of this 3-volume treatment Phonons: Theory and Experiments [1.1], is devoted to the basic concepts of the physics of phonons. The present second volume contains a thorough study of experimental techniques and the interpretation of experimental results. In the third volume [1.2], we treat a number of phenomena which are directily related with phonons.
