Abstract
A model based on Markov Statistics is used to estimate radiative transfer in lamps. This model is useful in an application to special types of lamps with envelopes consisting of several parts with different optical properties. As an example, the radiative transfer out of fluorescent lamps with partial reflector or with metallic partitions as well as optimum phosphor coating thickness are estimated.
