Zusammenfassung
Wir ergänzen zunächst den einleitenden Abschnitt 132 des vorhergehenden Kapitels durch einige allgemeine Bemerkungen über Art und Technik der Beobachtung totaler Sonnenfinsternisse: Kurz vor Beginn der Totalität strahlt die äußerste Zone der Photosphäre stellenweise durch die Täler des Mondes. Dessen Rand erscheint daher wie von einer Kette leuchtender Perlen umgeben, den sog. Baily-Beads.
