Zusammenfassung

Psychiatrie in Europa ist ein sehr zeitgemäßes Thema. Mit dem zunehmenden Zusammenschluss der europäischen Staaten zur europäischen Union entwickelt sich mit den politischen und wirtschaftlichen Einigungen auch das Bedürfnis, andere, bisher nationalstaatlich geprägte und getragene Systeme den europäischen Konzepten und Strukturen anzupassen und eine möglichst weitgehende Integration zu erreichen. Diese Entwicklung betrifft die Medizin als Gesamtfeld sowie bestimmte Fachrichtungen der Medizin, u. a. die Psychiatrie.
