Zusammenfassung

Kardiale Infektionen können auf Endokard, Myokard oder Perikard beschränkt sein oder benachbarte Strukturen gemeinsam betreffen. Bei lokal unkontrolliert verlaufender Endokarditis greift der Infektionsprozess z. B. häufig auf das Myokard über (Endomyokarditis). Bei primärer Myokarditis finden sich klinisch, elektrokardiographisch und echokardiographisch regelhaft die Zeichen einer begleitenden Perikarditis (Perimyokarditis). Das klassische rheumatische Fieber ist typisches Beispiel einer gleichzeitigen immunologischen Entzündungsreaktion von Endo-, Myound Perikard (Pankarditis).
