Abstract
The psychosocial issues facing young women confronting a cancer diagnosis are extremely complex. A diagnosis of cancer finds any individual unprepared. The realities that one was accustomed to in everyday life change overnight, and many uncertainties enter into this new life scenario. It is a frightening and complicated new world with difficulties at psychological, social, and emotional levels, the key concern, however, being that of individual survival.
