Abstract
In particle induced X-ray emission (PIXE) bulk analyses quantitative results are obtained from measured spectra directly v/ithout the use of any standards. The applicability of this method, its errors and sensitivity are investigated with protons as projectiles with the low energy Ep = 400 keV. These low energy analyses are compared to the high energy PIXE method using alpha particles with Ea = 30 MeV.
