Abstract
The total output of the U.S. economy in dollars of constant purchasing power has more than doubled in the last 20 years. Goods and services are now being produced at an annual rate of more than $1 trillion. Under conditions of full employment of capital and labor, the gross national product of the nation in 1971 prices is projected to reach a total of more than $2.4 trillion by 1990.
