Abstract

Highlights the theoretical underpinnings and large evidence base of research studies and data supporting the effectiveness of standard Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT), the foundation for the adaptation to PCIT-toddlers. Information regarding additional adaptations to standard PCIT are discussed, and the variety of treatment settings and populations are reviewed.
