Abstract

This chapter will introduce the pathologist to animal sexual abuse. The focus of this chapter will be on the sexual assault examination of an animal including the perianal, vaginal, and penile examination. Ancillary tests such as alternate light source examination and collection of samples that may contain biological evidence such as semen will be discussed.
