Abstract

Parasitic and fungal infections of the central nervous system (CNS) can cause significant morbidity or mortality, and risk factors include immunodeficiency and living in endemic areas. Neuroimaging studies play a critical role in the diagnosis and clinical assessment of these patients. This chapter discusses the most common patterns of magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) found in parasitic and fungal infections.
