Abstract

1. Given the Lagrangian for the Standard Model, the Z boson couples to quarks and leptons in the Dirac basis proportional to the vector and axial vector coupling constants, g V and g A [Eq. (2.17)]. Evaluate g V ,  g A for up quarks and down quarks. 2. Write the first term in Eq. (2.20) using Dirac notation.
