Abstract
Logical thinking is essential to one’s development. It lays a foundation to acquire knowledge and skills that are used to solve many problems, not only in school, but also to execute tasks and make decisions. Nowadays, interactive technologies have a potential to be applied in education and are presented as a facilitator in both learning and teaching activities. This paper aims to present an application of an approach to analyze the logical thinking development with computer aid. To do so, we developed and applied a test environment to two student groups to assess any improvement in learning and, consequently, in logical thinking. The results pointed out to a visible development of students’ logical thinking, showing that they did not have any difficulties to execute the proposed tasks. This allowed us to build an illustrated view of thought trainings that help them to achieve their goals and make decisions. This paper also highlights the importance of using computational tools to support teachers in classrooms and to stimulate the development of logical thinking.
