Abstract

Mobile devices such as mobile phones offer a wide range of communication channels that differ regarding offered speed, costs and availability. The transmission of sensitive data in the field of mobile control and monitoring technology requires an online control with respect to a high reliability and fault tolerance, goals that are reachable using an appropriate and combined selection of such channels. A system for this purpose along with its architecture and its modes of real-time operation is introduced that additionally to the required fault tolerance can increase the security of data transmitted.
