Abstract
Solid UO2(NO3)2.6H2O, at suitable temperature, reacts with solid Phenylurea (Ph). By using a 1:2 stoichiometric ratio UO2(NO3)2Ph2 is obtained. This compound for reaction with Ph gives several other complexes. DSC is used to study the reactions: UO2(NO3)2Phn + mPh → UO2(NO3)2Phn+m (where n = 2÷5 m = 1÷4; n+m =3÷6). The enthalpic values were determined and rationalized.
