Abstract

This chapter shares insights and challenges regarding a fun and interactive experiential tool—dance and movement—in cross-cultural management education with a focus on global leadership. It introduces an exercise, where leaders, followers, their connection, and the elements surrounding them in today’s highly turbulent environment are analyzed through movement and lessons from the kinesthetic experience on the dance floor.

    The six levels of connection framework have been generated by the author in 2014. The background of this exercise stems from the author’s experience in both dance and leadership theories. The framework has been generated through working with dancers and managers in leadership development trainings.
