Abstract

The basic research and clinical utilization of platelet-rich plasma (PRP), and, more inclusively regenerative medicine, are one of most innovative trends in the treatment of musculoskeletal conditions and coexistent chronic pain. However, there is still paucity of high-quality clinical studies on this topic. This chapter will provide a brief overview of PRP and review the recent developments in PRP application in the treatment of chronic musculoskeletal painful conditions.
