Abstract
In the history of head impacts, the focus has always been the development of helmets that reduce the damage received by the head. Few researchers have addressed the problem of the injuries that occurs at the internal organs like the brains and spinal cord. The development of a test bench to simulate cranial impacts is often costly and the analysis are only focused on frontal impacts. This paper proposes a new test bench to analyse the brain-spinal system when a sudden impact load is received at different sections of the skull. Our technique shows a clear mechanical design that can use a parallel robot 3RPS to set up various positions of a spine head system to estimate the damages on the cervical area.
