Abstract
Low back pain is an extremely common reason for physician visits, as well as lost work time, workers’ compensation claims, and disability. In this chapter, we discuss interventional techniques that can be used in a multimodal approach for the treatment of low back pain. Techniques for interlaminar epidural steroid injections, transforaminal epidural steroid injections, lumbar facet joint injections, lumbar medial branch blocks and radiofrequency ablation of the lumbar medial branch nerves will be described.
