Abstract

This chapter describes cutaneous pathology of emerging and tropical infections that are commonly under-recognized or misdiagnosed because of their relatively rare occurrence. Due to the wide spectrum of skin infections, the more common ones that are well recognized, such as impetigo, herpes simplex, herpes zoster, etc., are not included in this chapter. In addition, main features of certain pathogens are summarized in tables instead of detailed description.
