Abstract

Synectics is the name given to a body of knowledge, a collection of behavioural skills and a set of problem solving techniques. It is also the international group of companies that have developed this from 30 years of study and work with innovative groups. But it is also far more than this. The greater a person’s exposure to Synectics, the more it pervades the way that person thinks to the extent that it virtually becomes a way of life (Frame 7.1).

Ultimate solutions to problems are rational; the process of finding them is not.
