Abstract
This chapter describes the realizations of three different CMOS smart temperature sensors that have been designed in the past five years. The first realization finds its application in a tyre monitoring system, where it watches the temperature of the tyre and compensates thermal cross-sensitivities of a pressure sensor. The second realization is a general-purpose ambient temperature sensor, where special attention has been paid to high uncalibrated accuracy. The last version can measure the temperature of a remote bipolar transistor and has its application in microprocessor thermal management.
